I Am the Masked One.  Good Enough.

As we head into week thirteen some teams have proven themselves competitors to be reckoned with.  Not just spoilers but possessing enough talent to take them into and possibly through the post season.  Arguments can be made of who faces tougher schedules and so on but the bottom line ends up being are they good enough?

Just because you lead your division after week twelve doesn’t mean you’re a real contender.  Look at Kansas City.  Enough said.  There are eleven teams with seven or more wins.  Out of them there are probably about six teams that could go all the way.  That’s some good football.  The AFC elite boils down to two teams.  The NFC is more complex.

Pittsburgh and New England sit atop the AFC standings.  Miami had no success against the defending champs as the Patriots scored at will even covering an insulting sixteen and a half point spread.  Shuffling off to Buffalo they face a recharged Bills team who surprised a slumping Kansas City.  Hard to bet against the Brady bunch though.

Philadelphia leads the way in the NFC.  An astonishing five games up in their division and ten wins, do the Eagles really have what it takes?  Facing Seattle out west will be a good test of skill and sign language.  It gets a little loud there. Minnesota has done the conference proud with nine wins and an upcoming match up with last years conference champs.  Feelin’ a Falcons frenzy folks.

Pittsburgh almost disappointed the home crowd as they let a comfortable lead slip away.  What started as a bruising turned into a nail biter with the Steelers sneaking away with a last second victory.  Without Rodgers and Matthews early on it looked like Green Bay was on it’s way to the cheesecake factory.  Terrible towels took turns as banners and anxiety balls as Pittsburgh allowed them back in and only a last second field goal saved the win.  Not pretty, but good enough
