I Am the Masked One.  Scouts Honor.

Today I saw a headline declaring the board of Boy Scouts voted unanimously to allow girls to join.  Any who are confused by this, should be.  It’s not that girls shouldn’t be able to do any activity the boys do.  It’s not that the girl scouts are limited in what they could offer for activities. As one of my adult daughters delicately pointed out, it’s that girls have vagina’s and boys have penises.

Someday a woman will join the NFL.  I have no problem with that.  We’re not talking professional, sports though in this instance.  We are talking about young people muddling through learning about life.  Face it, boys and girls like to do different things.  Going on camp outs with someone who has cooties is not one of them.  Honest.

Truth be told there were some surprising results in week five.  Kansas City remains unbeaten and hosts Pittsburgh this week.  The Steelers suffered an embarrassing loss to the Jags who were (supposedly ) 8.5 point under dogs.  No doubt Pittsburghs potential is greater but it’s hard to bet against the Chiefs war party led by Alex Smith.  KC goes to 6-0.

Philadelphia has been keeping teams honest this season so far.  They city of brotherly love gave a spanking to the Arizona Cardinals.  Apparently their scouts have done a steller job prepping for the enemy.  They open week six on TNF against Carolina.  Somebody finally lit a fire under the Panthers tail as they rallied to beat Detroit on their home turf.  Generally speaking their season has been somewhat lacking on the offense side of the ball.  Oh and the defensive side too which is why I believe the Eagles flock ‘em good.

Capping off Sunday night was Green Bay/Dallas.  Honestly the way this game started it looked like the Cowboys were going to gallop away with it. Eagle Scout Rodgers though was not to be denied as he erased any doubts age has hindered his performance.  I’m sure he was tired after dragging his team mates single handedly on that last minute drive to victory.  Ain’t that the truth.
